  • Research and data

  • Policy and action

  • Sector based issues

  • Community engagement

  • Health

The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), World Resources Institute, and Nairobi City County will co-chair the working group.

Members of the working group will meet regularly to work on strategies and solutions to improve air quality in Nairobi.

In closing, Ethan McMahon, Chief of Party at Clean Air Catalyst thanked participants for their commitment and passion to be part of the solution towards cleaner air for all.

“Clean air is a public good; indeed, no other resource exhibits the same degree of ‘publicness’. Land can be parceled and fenced; Water can be bottled; Scenery can be hidden; One can even isolate himself from noise; but man has no choice but to breathe the air around him – polluted or not” – Anonymous
